Vasantkamal Tours offers some finest Shirdi tour Packages from Chennai, but before touring let us share some information of Shri Sai Baba for all Sai devotees.
Our much loved and revered God,
Shri Sai Baba of Shirdi or Shirdi ke Sai Baba as we all know him, was a fakir
when he first arrived in Shirdi. It was Mahalsapati who gave him the name Sai
which means religious Mendicant or God. He came to Shirdi as a young lad and no
one knows about his background or where he came from. He arrived in Shirdi like
God descending on that little village to help them and stayed there till the
end. All his life he remained a fakir and believed in eating what he got in
bhiksha and wore a white kafni and the two mantras he repeatedly said were
“AllahMalik” and “Sabka Malik Ek”. He prophage the tenets of Shraddha which is
faith and Saburi which is patience to all the people and helped solve all their
problems. He lived outside the village in an old mosque which was in a
dilapidated condition and called it Dwarkamai. Even today when people visit
Shirdi they never forget to visit Dwarkamai which is situated on the right of
the entrance of the Samadhi Mandir. Baba turned the mosque into Dwarkamai and
proved that God is one. The first floor of Dwarkamai has portraits of large
stones that Baba and Baba used to sit on. There are two rooms at this level.
One contains the chariot and the second contains Palkhi. Just in front of the
room where the chariot was kept, there was a small temple. The saffron flag
flies over it. On the second floor of Dwarkamai there is a square stool made of
stone, which Baba uses to bathe.
The main attraction of this place is the oil
painting of Shri Sai Baba sitting in a carved wooden shrine. There are also
grindstones and wooden boats called Kolamba, which used to bring Bhiksha from
the village. Dwarkamai is where Sai sits every day, and people from all over
the world come to see him with his problems. Initially, he used his herbs
growing nearby to treat their disease, but then he began to illuminate dhuni
and treat people with his holi udhi, even today as Prasad for everyone visiting
Samadhi Temple. Udhhi is now even considered medicinal and has magical healing
properties. He also helps people deal with other personal problems and protect
the villagers, just like their own family. Dwarkamai is like a temple and a
refuge for the Shirdi people. They need help when they come there.
